SMB Management Platform vcita Launches ‘Pay by Mobile’ Feature for Contactless Payments

vcita, the business management platform for SMBs, has unveiled Pay by Mobile, a contactless payment solution that helps customers pay for services in a manner that minimizes friction while adhering to best practices for cybersecurity and social distancing. Pay by Mobile allows SMBs to easily collect payment for services, helping them remain agile and relevant during the coronavirus pandemic and in the long term.

Using the new feature, small businesses can send secure payment links in a text message, directly to a customer’s phone. When the customer clicks on the link, they see a protected payment checkout screen.

At the same time, SMB owners can feel reassured that all payments are synced immediately with all other sections of the vcita platform. Unlike third-party mobile payment processing solutions that record payments out of context, making them a challenge to trace, all payments made through Pay by Mobile immediately appear in your CRM, appointment list, calendar and client communications portal.

“As the global economy moves away from cash and digital payments emerge as the new standard, SMB owners have a great deal to gain by allowing their customers to pay for services using their smartphones,” said vcita CEO Itzik Levy.

“We’ve put a great deal of effort into making sure that the payment experience offered with this new product feature is as smooth as possible, giving small businesses a simple mobile payment solution within the tools they use already, without having to adopt any new platforms, and supporting both in-person and remote billing scenarios. We also knew that there would be a distinct advantage in allowing companies to fully integrate these payments into every other aspect of business management and customer relationship communications that are so important today.”

Pay by Mobile answers a particular need for reliable and user-friendly methods that buyers and sellers can use to make payments without any contact with staff. By paying through a secure mobile link, clients can complete transactions without passing money or credit cards back and forth to your staff.

The new feature represents the next stage in vcita’s ongoing support for small businesses throughout the COVID-19 crisis, following April’s launch of the “Business Unusual” portal in partnership with MasterCard and September’s launch of the “Packages” feature for pre-selling bundles of services in one go.

Earlier this month, vcita became a member of the SME Finance Forum, a consortium working to eliminate the finance gap for small businesses that was launched by G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI) in 2012 and is managed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

“At vcita, we’re committed to supporting SMBs throughout the coronavirus pandemic and beyond,” Levy continued. “We firmly believe that small businesses are the backbone of the economy and are resilient enough to weather this crisis, as long as they receive the right tools and assistance. We see it as our mission to provide them.”
