Full Description

We are looking for an ambitious and creative business development manager to join our Marketing team, and help us recognise, evaluate and drive the successful completion of partnership opportunities including referral, content and educational co-promotional activities. As part of your role, you will be responsible for presenting vcita to potential partners, either remotely or face to face, maintain a pipeline of partnership opportunities, follow up and prioritise them with the objective of growing vcita’s user base, brand reach and expending its unique offering to its customers.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Brand, Growth, Product Marketing, Product Partnerships and Channels teams to ensure partnership opportunities are optimised by analysing their potential, building a business case, and aligning on objectives
  • Working together with external and internal stakeholders to reach an agreement on all aspects of the partnership – commercial, legal and vcita’s commitments for delivery
  • Working closely with the Legal team on commercials, privacy and security requirements, SLAs
  • Develop sales strategies and, using a CRM, track the progress of the sales stages and report on a weekly basis; liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth progress of the project, working with both to manage issues, escalating to senior management if required
  • Participate in industry conferences, webinars, meetups etc to represent vcita as well as expend our knowledge of market trends and new opportunities

Requirements

  • Ability to learn, present and deeply analyse SaaS partnerships, unique propositions delivered by such partnerships and their place in the ecosystem
  • Three years of previous experience in BD roles in Saas companies
  • Experience in working with legal teams to deliver partnership agreements
  • Experience in the Fintech space – a major advantage
  • Willingness to travel, participate in workshops and conferences and work across time zones

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills essential as you will interact with potential partners, clients and senior management, delivering presentations both remotely and in person
  • Commercial solutions thinking and basic understanding of commercial agreements, including brand marks, services agreements, software licensing, privacy and security
  • Self-starter self-disciplined and target focussed but able to work in a team matrix environment
  • Demonstrates drive, passion and flexibility
  •  Highly proficient in communicating in English
