Description

vcita is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of BD & Product Partnerships to drive high-impact initiatives that expand our ecosystem and enhance our platform offering to drive business growth. This role is ideal for a product-savvy business development expert who thrives at the intersection of partnerships, technology, and customer value.

You'll lead the end-to-end product and app partnerships lifecycle, from opportunity identification to managing the live partnerships, as well as supporting strategic business development programs.

Areas we’ll trust you with:

Partnership Ownership

  • Drive new partnership opportunities in new sectors and categories to unlock growth potential, from the initial market research and partner funnel creation. The first sector focus is telco.
  • Oversee product and app market partnership lifecycle, collaborating with relevant internal teams to ensure seamless execution: from prioritization, scouting, and evaluation to solution buildout & integration, launch, and post-launch growth activities.
  • Build and manage strategic and business-oriented partner relationships, fostering trust and collaboration to drive mutual value, revenue, and growth.


Strategic and business focus

  • Analyze industry trends, customer demands, and market opportunities to identify and prioritize high-impact partnerships.
  • Support broader business development and strategic partnership initiatives driven by the CBDO.
  • Develop business cases and performance metrics to measure and optimize the impact of partnerships.
  • Align closely with internal stakeholders: product, marketing, sales, solution, support, and R&D to ensure optimal communication and execution.


Areas of your knowledge and Expertise:

  • 4+ years of experience in product management, solution engineering, or equivalent customer-facing roles, leveraging both business and technology skills.
  • Experience with partnerships, business development, or sales, demonstrating the ability to build and manage relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-company programs and projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and technical fluency; understanding concepts such as APIs, integrations, and SaaS platforms; Coding experience is a plus, but is not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with app marketplaces, digital ecosystems, and platform-based business models is a plus.
  • Experience with the small business market and ecosystem, as well as working in or with enterprise customers.
